Mass General Brigham seeks a Medical Assistant II to join the Pediatric Nephrology team at our main campus. In this role, you will provide essential support to healthcare providers by delivering both clinical and non-clinical patient services, contributing to exceptional care and groundbreaking medical discoveries.
What You'll Do
- Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height
- Prepare examination rooms and necessary equipment for healthcare providers
- Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in medical records
- Perform general office duties, including answering telephones and completing insurance forms
- Act as a liaison with other departments and advocate for patients with a positive customer service approach
- Collect and log blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens for testing
- Prepare and stock treatment rooms, keeping them neat and clean
- Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Nice to Have
- Basic Life Support (BLS Certification)
- Certified Medical Assistant credential
- 1-3 years of direct Medical Assistant experience or work in the medical field
Technical Stack
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $17.36 - $24.45 per hour
