Apex Tool Group is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern for a 10-week summer program running from May to early August. You'll be assigned a project-oriented, meaningful task within our R&D organization, gaining responsibility and practical experience by applying university concepts directly to new and existing product development.
What You'll Do
- Gain practical engineering experience by applying concepts learned at university to real-world challenges.
- Develop a deeper understanding of product development through involvement in the stage-gate process and VA/VE activities.
- Take a test fixture from scope definition to a fully built and programmed machine.
What We're Looking For
- Incoming Junior or Senior undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proven, proficient user of MS Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Nice to Have
- Experience with CAD (Creo a plus, SolidWorks) 2D and 3D skills.
- Experience with programming and sensors.
- Previous internship or work experience.
