AECOM is seeking M&E Resident Engineers to work with Uisce Éireann framework providers, ensuring water and wastewater infrastructure projects are constructed to specified quality standards. This role involves supervising MEICA construction, monitoring commissioning works, and administering commercial aspects of contracts. As an ambassador for safety, you will proactively improve safety culture on construction projects.
What You'll Do
- Specialise in Mechanical & Electrical elements of the works.
- Lead the delivery of site-based infrastructure projects on behalf of Uisce Éireann, ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, environmental, programme, and cost requirements.
- Review and monitor contractor documentation and performance, including MEICA design submissions, RAMS, quality plans, FDS, commissioning plans and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Supervise MEICA construction activities, undertake safety reviews, and quality audits, ensuring works are completed safely in accordance with equipment specifications and approved proposals.
- Monitor commissioning works, including FAT, SAT testing, system testing, process proving and compliance with contractual performance guarantees.
- Administer commercial aspects of contracts, including assessment of interim and final accounts, variations, claims, and contractor performance against KPIs.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with the Project Team, Employer’s Representative, Local Authorities, utility providers, landowners, and the public to ensure coordinated project delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in the site supervision of MEICA works.
- Experience working on major infrastructure projects including water and wastewater treatment plants and upgrades, pumping stations, generators, instrumentation and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, regulatory compliance, safety auditing and RAMS review.
- Working knowledge of construction contracts, including FIDIC, and experience in the assessment of Contractor claims and payment applications.
- Experience in reviewing design submissions, PFDs, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, FDS, Control philosophies and commissioning plans and participation in Project Workshops.
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance Systems.
- Able to travel to site.
