Alstom is hiring a Material Planning Intern to apply organizational and analytical skills in a pivotal role. You will ensure the seamless flow of materials for our projects and operations by managing planning documents, monitoring supplier performance, and driving process improvements.
What You'll Do
- Manage purchase requisitions and material planning documents from initiation to completion
- Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of material planning master data
- Follow up on material deliveries to ensure they are received on time and at the right location
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure visibility on deliveries and proactively address potential supply chain risks
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance and drive improvement plans
- Create and develop reports, data visualizations, and conduct data analysis to support decision-making
- Implement process digitization tools, such as artificial intelligence, Power BI, and MS Power Platforms
- Provide data-driven advice to improve business processes
- Develop your professional expertise in procurement, supply chain, and digital solutions
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, Arts, Humanities, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Understanding of basic supply chain concepts and process improvement
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with a focus on process efficiency
- Interest in information technology and digital innovation
- Fluency in English
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn and adapt
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of additional languages such as Spanish, French, or German
