Glanbia is hiring a Material Handler II to join our operations team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for moving goods, loaded pallets, and equipment safely and securely using various forklifts and material handling equipment. You’ll perform key warehouse duties in an environment that requires innovation, initiative, and teamwork.
What You'll Do
- Load, unload, move, count/pick, stack, and stage product and materials using a stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, regular reach truck, and other material handling equipment.
- Accurately pull and prepare product for production or shipment, completing documentation correctly using RH scanners.
- Inspect all materials during picking, shipping, and receiving to ensure product number accuracy and that material is free of damage, reporting any discrepancies.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following work methods and OSHA standards.
- Assist in maintaining and promoting the safety of the warehouse and report issues to management.
- Cross-train and assist other departments as needed.
- Work with known allergens (e.g., milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanut, tree nut) and powders.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Lab coat, steel-toe boots/shoes, safety glasses, bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, and nitrile gloves.
What We're Looking For
- At least 6 months of Sit-Down, Reach, and Stand Up Forklift Experience.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. on an occasional basis 6 inches off Ground to Waist.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on an occasional basis Waist to Shoulder.
- Ability to carry up to 55 lbs. on an occasional basis up to 5 ft.
- Ability to pull a 55lb bag from a height of 60 inches on an occasional basis.
Nice to Have
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a Food environment or Consumer product industry.
- Experience using a WMS or ERP system with RF scanning.
