BMW Group is hiring a Material flow intern

The BMW Group is looking for a Material Flow Intern to join our Material Flow and Lineside Planning team. You will support logistics planning initiatives across our manufacturing plant, focusing on series changes, new vehicle launches, and the integration of logistics innovation projects.

What You'll Do

• Support the implementation of autonomous logistics vehicles within the plant.
• Run weekly and monthly reporting documents.
• Organize and support lineside transitions for series packages.
• Check and maintain logistics parts lists.
• Plan head count for logistics processes related to new vehicle launches.
• Plan floor space for part storage, including high bay racking, block storage, and supermarkets.
• Plan material flow deliveries for future vehicle derivatives.
• Maintain BMW layouts using layout software.
• Manage project timelines and tasks effectively.
• Train on the AGV Upper Level System (ATS).
• Modify existing manual processes and structures to integrate with autonomous vehicles.

What We're Looking For

• Current enrollment in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• A detail-oriented and self-starting approach to work.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completion of at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
• For transfer students: a GPA from your current university.
• Must attach a copy of your unofficial transcript with your application.
• Willingness to complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
