Amgen Inc. is hiring a Material Compliance Manager to oversee the review process for promotional materials, ensuring integrity and compliance across assigned business units. In this role, you will represent material compliance in process discussions and contribute to initiatives that support our mission to serve patients.
What You'll Do
- Lead new and ongoing MAC (Material Approval Committee) process improvement efforts.
- Provide guidance and direction to the MAC Cross Functional team members.
- Anticipate process issues and provide solutions for special circumstance reviews, such as product launches and regulatory actions.
- Ensure MAC business rules are understood and followed by Reviewers and Sponsors (project owners).
- Work closely with assigned Material Compliance Associates on MAC business and compliance operations.
- Build & maintain strong relationships with project Sponsors, Reviewers, agencies, third party partners, and Business Unit Compliance Leads.
- Drive compliance with Amgen review guidelines, MAC Policy, and external regulations.
- Facilitate MAC-related meetings.
- Address stakeholder concerns and facilitate a final decision on their resolution.
- Use discretion on which issues to elevate to upper management.
- Manage elevation issues to resolution with senior and executive management.
- Provide guidance on the use of Amgen’s MAC electronic approval system.
What We're Looking For
- Doctorate degree OR
- Master’s degree and 2 years of process, compliance, and/or project management experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of process, compliance, and/or project management experience OR
- Associate’s degree and 8 years of process, compliance, and/or project management experience OR
- High school diploma / GED and 10 years of process, compliance, and/or project management experience.

- Experience in an environment requiring extensive daily examples of negotiation, persuasion, collaboration, and analytical judgment.
- Ability to interface and communicate with all levels of management.
- The skill to be assertive yet extremely tactful.
- Ability to communicate and influence all levels of leadership/executive leadership.
- Ability to simultaneously manage & prioritize multiple projects.
- Supervision of staff.
- Strong understanding of process development & process improvement.
- Strong project planning, client management, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

- A solid track record of strong problem-solving skills.

- Compensation range: $102,506.00 - $130,639.00 USD.
