The Open Home Foundation is hiring a Marketing Copywriter to join our European marketing team. In this role, you will craft compelling content that communicates our mission of privacy, choice, and sustainability in smart homes. You will write for a wide array of materials, turning technical information into clear and helpful copy that resonates with our audience.

What You'll Do

Work on a wide range of content including websites, blogs, guides and tutorials, print, packaging, newsletters, video, and social media.
Write all content in a compelling, clear, and error-free way.
Edit and proofread content created by others, contributing to overall quality and consistency.
Work together with the entire creative team to ensure content projects are cohesive and properly reflect brand voice, messaging, and target audiences.
Translate technical information into simple, persuasive, and helpful content.
Support internal and business communications where needed.

What We're Looking For

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to write in an organization’s brand tone and voice.
Proven experience writing for technical products or companies in multiple formats.
Ability to distil complex technical topics into accessible, user-focused copy.
A strong portfolio of written work.
Ability to use Git and Github.
Professional Fluency in English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
European Residency: You must be currently based and eligible to work within Europe.

Nice to Have

Experience working on product launch documents such as value propositions and messaging houses.
Familiarity with open source culture.
A native-level English-speaking background.
A passion for smart homes and automation.
Experience as a Home Assistant user.

Team & Environment

You will be the second copywriter to join our growing team. You will report directly to the Marketing Lead, who is based in the Netherlands.
