The Marketing Associate at Whatnot will play a key role in driving buyer acquisition, engagement, and retention on our livestream shopping platform in Australia. This position is responsible for executing integrated marketing campaigns, managing influencer relationships, and supporting events that fuel community growth and demand across core product categories.
What You'll Do
- Support buyer acquisition across categories by developing and executing campaigns and events that generate community buzz and drive demand on Whatnot
- Plan and execute product release campaigns, and support on-platform events and key community moments across multiple channels
- Manage a portfolio of influencers, including relationship management, campaign ideation, execution, and reporting
- Partner with the global social team to develop and execute social media strategy, including managing a social calendar and advising on content for tentpole campaigns
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of marketing experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in category marketing, events, social media marketing, influencer marketing, or business operations
- Background in running digital marketing campaigns with a proven ability to conceptualize, produce and drive campaign conversion
- Experience and an interest in working directly with influencers and creators
- Problem solver with strong project management skills and the ability to fully own execution across multiple marketing channels
- Immersed in internet culture and excited to dive deep into the inner-workings of Whatnot’s communities
- Passion for creator communities and/or existing Whatnot product categories
- Data-driven with experience tracking growth KPIs and monitoring the success of marketing programs
- Proficiency in digital platforms and data analytics tools
- Scrappy and flexible enough to work in a fast-paced startup environment with limited guidance and comfortable pivoting quickly as needed
