Royal Steensma, a part of Dawn Foods, is hiring a Market Sales Manager to lead the performance and development of a team of Market Sales Representatives (MSRs). You will direct, enable, and coach sales representatives to achieve results within regional commercial plans, while leading strategic planning and execution.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the performance of Market Sales Representatives, including goal setting, check-ins, performance assessment, and ensuring accountability for results.
  • Continuously coach and develop Market Sales Representatives.
  • Lead the execution of a comprehensive sales plan for the overall distribution area that aligns with Dawn’s regional and enterprise business strategy and priorities.
  • Ensure time and resources are devoted to aggressively pursuing growth of regional market share for Dawn to become or maintain position as a leading bakery products and services supplier.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relationships.
  • Support, reinforce, and coach against Salesforce sales forecasting activities.
  • Direct channel development and coordinate sales activity by establishing sales territories, quotas, and margin goals.
  • Manage, reinforce, and maximize the achievement of sales goals and optimal gross margin within targeted territories.
  • Cascade plans and targets to territory-based Market Sales Representatives.
  • Utilize and respond to territory planning data, managing change as needed.
  • Effectively lead and facilitate team meetings and one-on-one discussions to inform and motivate.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience managing and developing a sales team.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic planning and execute commercial sales plans.
  • Strong skills in performance management, coaching, and accountability.
  • Experience with sales forecasting, territory management, and quota setting.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective customer relationships.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills for team meetings and one-on-one discussions.
