ScionHealth is seeking a Market CEO to establish strategic and collaborative plans that drive competitive positioning and overall market growth. You will utilize strategic thinking and external-facing activities to enable the expansion and support of assigned hospitals, working within a culture that values empowerment, patient care, courage, and curiosity.
What You'll Do
- Direct strategic planning and marketing for designated hospitals with input from hospital, Region, Group, and Division leadership.
- Provide operational and fiscal oversight, consulting regularly with hospital leadership and evaluating team competence.
- Ensure all policies established by the Governing Body of each hospital are implemented appropriately.
- Prepare and submit an annual budget showing expected revenue and expenditures.
- Monitor the adequacy of hospital medical activities in response to community needs for quality healthcare.
- Provide direction to hospital leadership on mission, quality performance, compliance, productivity, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and hospital leaders on employee relations and turnover.
- Conduct monthly operating reviews and present monthly and quarterly consolidated operating reports for the assigned market.
- Ensure the maintenance of physical properties in a safe and operational state.
- Oversee business office functions to ensure optimal fund collection and expenditure.
- Act as an effective liaison between the hospital and medical staff, representing the hospital at external functions.
- Perform other duties necessary in the best interest of the hospitals.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or a clinical specialty.
- Five years of senior-level experience in healthcare administration/management, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Experience in facility operations management, human resources, and/or finance.
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, word-processing, and spreadsheet software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of JCAHO, local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of general budgeting, accounting, management, cost reporting, and profit and loss.
- Ability to work well with management teams and employees in a multi-site environment.
- Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Must have good and regular attendance.
- Approximate travel requirement: 60%.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a clinical specialty.
- Prior sales, marketing, or public relations experience.
- Completion of an Executive Fellow program.
- Multi-site healthcare management experience.
