Nutramax Manufacturing is looking for a Manufacturing Tool Technician to be a key support for our production operations. In this role, you will maintain our tablet press tooling inventory, ensure equipment is clean and ready for use, and help keep our manufacturing schedule on track by following strict procedures.
What You'll Do
- Participate in daily meetings, understand instructions, and organize manufacturing steps.
- Follow written instructions on Batch Records, Log Books, and other production documents.
- Adhere to SOPs related to equipment, products, and processes.
- Transport materials, lifting a minimum of 50lbs using proper techniques.
- Perform set-up and adjustments to all manufacturing tablet press tooling.
- Clean rooms and equipment according to SOPs and perform basic maintenance.
- Document work as required by SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
- Check work for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and report them to a supervisor.
- Train new employees on equipment operation, documentation, safety, SOPs, and GMPs as instructed.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with your team, supervision, and other departments.
- Perform other assigned duties to meet company goals.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Strong mathematical and mechanical skills.
- Ability to use basic cleaning devices and learn advanced cleaning equipment.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment according to instructions.
- Attention to detail and some process analytical skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to use fractions, decimals, commercial arithmetic, and basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- You must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment and follow all appropriate instructions and procedures.
- You must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and reading comprehension test.
- The physical ability to: stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours; lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 pounds; regularly stand, bend, squat, and climb stairs; and use your hands and arms to lift, reach, push, and pull.
Nice to Have
- Three years of experience in pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, or food industry.
- Working knowledge of cGMP in a dietary supplement or pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience, training, or education related to cleaning equipment/environment in dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or food industry.
- Previous knowledge and understanding of production processes in a cGMP or pharmaceutical environment.
- Basic knowledge of cGMP regulations and experience in a cGMP environment.
Team & Environment
You'll report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and collaborate closely with the production team to ensure smooth operations. Nutramax Manufacturing promotes a drug-free, healthful, and safe workplace with a zero-tolerance policy for drug use.
