dormakaba USA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team in Lexington, KY. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring production performance and process quality by leading investigations, supporting legacy production and new product launches, and driving continuous improvement projects.
What You'll Do
- Assist in process development and documentation for new product launches, engineering changes, and pilot runs.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities for complex manufacturing and quality issues, using structured problem-solving tools.
- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, drive improvement recommendations, and monitor solution effectiveness.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure material and component quality, addressing issues and supporting corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to support ongoing improvements and align with operational goals.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
- 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, or engineering role.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
- Must be available to travel a few times per year to Indianapolis, IN.
- Due to our government contract, applicants must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Experience with supplier quality management and auditing.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS.
- Experience with product lifecycle management processes.
