The Mandate Monitoring Analyst plays a key role in maintaining compliance across Royal London Asset Management portfolios by overseeing both pre- and post-trade activity. Using Aladdin, the primary Order Management System, you'll identify and investigate potential mandate breaches, ensuring adherence to client guidelines and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor trading activity across all RLAM portfolios to detect and assess potential rule violations before and after execution
- Prepare and submit regulatory disclosures related to takeover events and significant shareholdings in line with FCA, Takeover Panel, and SEC requirements
- Translate client and regulatory rules into actionable system logic, applying industry standards and business feedback
- Collaborate with Investment Support, Derivatives Operations, Distribution, and Front Office teams during fund launches
- Coordinate with Trustees and Depositories to report, categorize, and resolve compliance incidents
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should hold a degree in a quantitative or finance-related field and demonstrate strong numerical reasoning and analytical thinking. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships are essential. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and curiosity about financial regulations are highly valued.
Completion of, or willingness to pursue, IMC Levels 1 and 2 is required. Experience with systems such as Aladdin, thinkFolio, or Charles River is beneficial. Familiarity with coding concepts and a genuine interest in automation or rule-based logic will support success in this role.
