Kraus-Anderson is looking for a Managing Director of Marketing to build and lead our shared services marketing organization. This strategic role is responsible for developing and operationalizing marketing that supports KA Construction, KA Insurance, KA Realty, and KA Corporate. You will balance strategic planning with hands-on leadership to establish effective workflows and drive growth across our diverse family of companies.
What You'll Do
- Build and operationalize KA's shared services marketing organization, establishing workflows and processes that enable effective support for four independent business entities.
- Develop company-specific marketing strategies in partnership with each company’s leadership to align with their unique growth objectives and target audiences.
- Lead marketing strategic planning and quarterly goal-setting for all companies.
- Champion the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of marketing technologies to enhance productivity, enable data-driven decisions, and create competitive advantages.
- Serve as the strategic lead for a large company-wide brand refresh initiative, harmonizing the master brand with sub-brands.
- Develop and maintain brand standards that ensure integrity while enabling company-specific customization.
- Oversee digital marketing efforts including websites, social media, email marketing, and SEO.
- Guide content development and thought leadership initiatives that position KA companies and leaders as industry experts.
- Direct integrated marketing campaigns and external PR strategies ensuring alignment with objectives and brand standards.
- Partner with business development teams and the Director of Strategy and Growth to align marketing with business development activities.
- Provide strategic oversight to the proposal team for priority opportunities.
- Lead and mentor the marketing team, including the Marketing Leadership team and Marketing Managers.
- Provide coaching and professional development that builds team capabilities and strengthens performance.
- Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture that values innovation and excellence.
- Identify, evaluate, and engage strategic agency partners; manage these relationships to ensure alignment with objectives, brand standards, and budgets.
- Track and report on marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate with the VP of Marketing & Business Development and company leaders to develop and manage annual marketing budgets, exercising budget authority within approved frameworks.

Team & Environment
You will lead the shared services marketing organization supporting multiple Kraus-Anderson business entities and report directly to the VP of Marketing & Business Development.
