Hims & Hers is hiring a Managing Counsel, Privacy & AI to lead our legal strategy for privacy and artificial intelligence. You will provide crucial legal advice on consumer and health privacy and AI laws that impact our products and services, navigating novel issues at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and e-commerce.
What You'll Do
- Lead the Company's privacy compliance program, managing a team of legal privacy experts to develop strategic compliance strategies.
- Guide the development of the Company’s AI program to address new and evolving state consumer and healthcare-related privacy and AI requirements.
- Partner closely with marketing, product and engineering teams to provide balanced and consistent legal guidance.
- Provide strategic counsel to the Government Affairs team to inform legislative efforts with subject matter expertise.
- Develop and maintain privacy and AI trainings to educate employees on protecting company and customer data.
- Maintain subject matter expertise regarding state and federal privacy laws, including regulatory actions.
- Mentor and manage a team of privacy counsel and legal professionals.
What We're Looking For
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
- 12+ years practicing at a law firm, government, or in-house.
- 5+ years of advising on privacy-related issues.
- 2+ years of advising on AI-related matters.
- 2+ years of management experience with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing legal professionals.
- Subject matter expert on healthcare and consumer privacy and AI laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, trust-based partnerships with business leadership and legal peers.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated time management, project prioritization, and management skills.
