Tailscale is seeking a Manager, Solutions Engineering - Enterprise to lead a team responsible for guiding customers through the full journey from pre-sales to post-sales. You will ensure the team designs, implements, and manages Tailscale deployments to meet business objectives, working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Support.
What You'll Do
- Manage and grow a small team, developing their skills, helping advance their careers, and recruiting additional team members
- Set a high standard for your team for customer evaluations and successful rollouts, contributing to new customer acquisition and the expansion of customers
- Work closely with our Sales team to meet and exceed revenue goals
- Collaborate with teams across Tailscale to improve our customer experience, proof of concept process, sales materials, documentation, and more
- Provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams on customer needs and product improvements
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud, network, and security technologies and trends, and ensure your team invests in education and development
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in a management role
- 5+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Familiar with networking and security concepts
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development, and web technologies (cloud architecture, CI/CD, etc)
Team & Environment
Works closely with Tailscale Sales and Customer Success teams, and collaborates with Marketing, Product, and Support.

- Compensation: $250,000 - $300,000 USD OTE (on target earnings) + equity
