Firstup is looking for a Manager, Software Engineering to join our team. In this role, you will lead engineering initiatives and drive the development of our platform. You'll manage a team dedicated to building robust, scalable systems that serve our users.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage a software engineering team, providing technical direction and mentorship.
- Own the full software development lifecycle for your team's projects, from design to deployment.
- Drive technical strategy and architecture decisions to ensure system scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers and other engineering leads to define roadmaps and deliver value.
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of direct experience managing or leading software engineering teams.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, high-quality software systems.
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across functions.
- Ability to mentor engineers and help them grow their technical and professional skills.
