Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor staffing and equipment needs, aligning resources with project timelines and effort estimates.
- Drive continuous improvement across the team in quality, efficiency, and process maturity.
- Manage individual career development and performance evaluations for all team members.
- Oversee project execution through Technical Leaders and step in as needed to ensure progress.
- Act as process owner for all group projects, ensuring adherence to defined software development standards.
- Coach engineers on software processes, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment and selection to build a capable and scalable engineering team.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of leadership experience managing software development teams in an R&D setting.
- Strong practical background in software development to support technical decision-making.
- Experience in the automotive industry, particularly with embedded or safety-critical systems.
- Demonstrated project management experience balancing delivery, quality, and resource constraints.
- Working knowledge of V-Cycle and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong facilitation, problem-solving, and presentation abilities with experience leading stakeholder discussions.
- Excellent communication skills, proactive approach, and a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
