F5 is seeking a Manager, Software Development Engineering to lead the Employee Experience (EX) Finance and Legal subpillar. In this role, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team of software and systems engineers responsible for the digital backbone of global finance operations, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and compliant across critical financial ecosystems.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of software and systems engineers
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and high accountability
- Define and execute the technical strategy for the Finance and Legal subpillar
- Ensure alignment between technical roadmaps and the strategic goals of the Global Finance, Procurement, and Legal organizations
- Provide architectural guidance and oversight for core financial ecosystem, including Oracle Financials, Coupa (P2P), and Workday
- Ensure financial systems are optimized for global performance and compliance
- Drive the strategy for complex integrations involving OneSource (Tax), Oanda (FX Rates), and other third-party financial services
- Ensure robust data integrity and real-time processing across the enterprise
- Act as a key partner to senior Finance leadership, specifically within Procurement and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Manage the software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Scrum methodologies
- Drive predictable delivery, manage backlogs, and ensure high-quality releases
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of financial platforms
- Implement best practices for QA, DevOps, and platform management to minimize technical debt
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering or enterprise systems
- At least 3+ years in a formal people management role
- Proven experience managing engineering teams supporting Finance/Legal business functions
- Strong understanding of P2P, AP, and Tax processes
- Technical familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud, Coupa, and Workday architectures
- Hands-on experience with enterprise integration strategies (APIs, Middleware)
- Experience with financial data services like OneSource and Oanda
- Strong track record of managing engineering delivery using Scrum/Agile frameworks
- Understanding of global financial regulations and the technical controls required to support them (e.g., SOX, VAT/GST, and Internal Audits)
- Exceptional ability to communicate technical strategies to non-technical Finance and Legal executives

Base salary range: $188,000.00 - $282,000.00, with additional equity in the form of restricted stock units and incentive compensation including bonus.
Work Mode
Broad salary ranges account for geographic locations and market conditions. This role supports global operations with flexibility built into compensation to reflect location-based differences.
