InterContinental Grenada (IHG) is seeking a Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform SME to influence, manage, and optimize our strategic, customer-centric email marketing program. You will lead a team of email developers and serve as a key subject matter expert on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, driving innovation and technical excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead, guide, and support a team of email developers in building, editing, testing, and QA of email communications within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Architect and develop scalable, maintainable multi-channel customer journeys within Journey Builder.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Automation Studio, Data Extensions, Mobile Studio, Content Builder, and related SFMC tools.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to manage and manipulate data within SFMC databases.
- Program dynamic, data-driven emails and landing pages utilizing AMPscript, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, API integrations, and SSJS.
- Promote and share industry best practices related to development, strategy, testing, and accessibility.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and data teams to translate campaign requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in email development, including personalization, segmentation, data management, and deliverability optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to email campaigns and SFMC platform performance.
- Stay up-to-date with Salesforce Marketing Cloud features, industry trends, and emerging martech innovations.
- Support code reviews, knowledge sharing, and documentation to maintain high-quality standards.
- Drive innovation in customer communications and template design, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Inbox Monster to monitor deliverability and communication rendering.
- Oversee the development of personalized content within the Movable Ink platform and its integration into commercial and loyalty communications.
- Maintain, evolve, and expand a modular email template codebase, ensuring consistency and reusability.
- Assist in resource planning and workload management within the email development team.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong marketing automation strategy and implementation experience with email products, CRM tools, and systems.
- Experience engaging and influencing cross-functional working partnerships in a global organization.
- Experience working within a complex business with a range of stakeholders with different needs.
- Ability to maintain a service-oriented team culture that delivers consistent, high-quality work for IHG’s complex stakeholder group.
- Strong project management skills to juggle multiple projects often having tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills with extreme attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability.
- Strong interpersonal and above-average communication skills.
