About the Role

Availity is hiring a Sales Compensation Manager to be a strategic partner and key driver of our revenue engine. This remote role designs, implements, and optimizes incentive programs that motivate performance and align with company strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Design and update incentive plans that drive performance and align to business priorities.
  • Model scenarios, costs, and risks to guide smart decisions.
  • Assess plan effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain clear, scalable compensation frameworks.
  • Oversee end-to-end incentive administration and accurate, on-time payouts.
  • Troubleshoot payout issues and manage escalations.
  • Maintain plan rules, documentation, and approval workflows.
  • Lead annual plan rollout and implementation.
  • Own compensation analytics, including attainment, trends, and insights.
  • Partner with Sales Operations to ensure clean, aligned data.
  • Conduct audits for crediting, deal assignment, and compliance.
  • Build dashboards that enable transparency and data-driven decisions.
  • Align plans with Sales Leadership priorities and GTM strategy.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and accruals.
  • Work with HR on job architecture and market benchmarking.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance on regulatory requirements.
  • Drive automation and process improvements across tools and workflows.
  • Lead configuration, testing, and upgrades for compensation systems.
  • Deliver clear plan documentation, training, and enablement materials.
  • Facilitate plan rollout sessions and ongoing communication.
  • Support leaders and employees with compensation guidance.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, HR, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years owning end-to-end design, rollout, and administration of quota-based sales incentive plans for tech/SaaS organizations.
  • Experience navigating hypergrowth (e.g., rapid headcount/revenue scaling, evolving routes-to-market).
  • Plan design depth across OTE mix, measures, accelerators/decelerators, thresholds, caps, draws, SPIFFs, and crediting rules.
  • Fluency with SaaS revenue constructs (e.g., ARR/ACV, renewals, expansions, churn/NRR) and how they flow into plan mechanics.
  • Proven track record delivering accurate, on-time payouts, resolving disputes, and maintaining auditable plan rules.
  • Cross-functional leadership with Sales, Finance, RevOps, HR, and Legal to align plans to strategy and compliance.
  • Advanced Excel (modeling scenarios, cohort analysis), comfort with large data sets.
  • Ability to translate insights into recommendations and executive-ready narratives.
  • Ability to build clear plan documents/FAQs, conduct enablement, and drive adoption.
  • Expertise in Salesforce or other related CRM platforms.
  • Ability to use camera/video for all virtual meetings.

  • Workday experience.
  • Experience with sales compensation systems such as Xactly, Varicent, CaptivateIQ.

This role reports to the Director, Global Compensation and collaborates closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, HR, and Executive Leadership.
