At Samsung Electronics, we are seeking a Manager, Risk Management & Internal Audit (Bilingual - Korean & English) to proactively safeguard our business integrity. This role is central to building a transparent environment by analyzing risks, planning audit cycles, and implementing robust prevention measures. You will report to the Director and directly supervise a Senior Specialist.
What You'll Do
- Plan Samsung's compliance and audit processes, monitoring standards across planning, execution, review, and reporting of quarterly cycles.
- Prepare communications with Executives and key external parties to discuss critical issues and develop mitigation plans.
- Perform annual inspections of business sites and subsidiaries to determine compliance with corporate regulations and laws.
- Analyze multiple datasets to perform root cause and predictive analysis, creating qualitative and quantitative risk reports.
- Identify areas of risk exposure and draft quarterly investigation proposals that prioritize critical areas.
- Conduct simulated impact analysis per risk area and share findings with the Director of Internal Audit and CEO/CFO.
- Design and support the development of risk management training courses per headquarters guidelines.
- Provide support to the Legal Department in their effort to minimize compliance risks.
- Ensure proper localization of HQ/NAHQ guidelines and policies, which may require significant translation work.
What We're Looking For
- A university degree or college diploma, preferably in business or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other office products.
- Strong research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply conceptual frameworks to new situations.
- Experience responding to complex inquiries, performing research, analyzing data, identifying issues, and documenting findings.
- Excellent business writing and communication skills, with great attention to detail and the ability to generate high-quality deliverables.
- Fluent in English and Korean (speaking, reading, writing) is required.
- A minimum of 5-7 years in audit with a large professional services firm or in internal audit functions.
- Practical knowledge of operational risks and internal controls frameworks.
- Experience in complex organizations with audit exposure across multiple business units and the ability to deal effectively with all employee levels.
Nice to Have
- Enterprise Reporting System exposure, preferably SAP.
- Project Management experience.
- A Certified Internal Audit designation.
