Boulevard is seeking a Manager, Revenue Accounting to oversee our revenue accounting process, related systems, and month-end close. As a key member of the finance team, you will ensure our financial operations are efficient, accurate, and compliant with accounting standards.
What You'll Do
- Own the month-end close process for revenue and related accounts, including checklists, reconciliations, and variance analyses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee AR operations
- Perform vendor selection and lead the implementation of a new revenue recognition software module
- Revamp key month-end close processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ASC 606 and SOX
- Develop and document accounting policies and procedures to support scaling operations and ensure audit readiness
- Review customer contracts and order forms to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606
- Participate in the development and improvement of internal controls, including documentation to support controls
- Assist in coordinating with external auditors to ensure timely completion of annual audit
- Perform technical accounting analyses and memorialize conclusions in accounting policy memoranda
- Assist senior management in analyzing financial performance and identifying variances from budgets and forecasts
- Create and maintain process documentation and SOPs
- Perform ad hoc projects as needed
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of direct reports
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5+ years of experience, preferably in public accounting or a high-growth company
- Deep understanding of ASC 606, SOX compliance, and close operations
- People management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience implementing new accounting systems
- Experience with streamlining processes and/or design and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures
- Proficient in revenue systems (NetSuite ARM, Workday Financials, Zuora Revenue, RightRev, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and manage multiple priorities

- Interest or experience in leveraging AI and automation to optimize accounting processes

- For candidates in NYC, the SF Bay Area, and Seattle: $121,000 - $151,000 per year. For all other U.S. locations: $103,000 - $132,355 per year. + equity
