Stryker Corporation is seeking a Manager, Product Marketing for Trauma to lead a team of Product Marketeers and drive market share growth for Stryker’s Trauma business across the UK and Northern Europe (Benelux & Nordics). This role involves developing and executing strategic marketing plans aligned with business objectives, collaborating with sales and cross-functional teams, and supporting commercial success through innovative marketing initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Lead and motivate a team of Product Marketeers (currently 4 direct reports)
- Coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential
- Promote an environment that fosters personal growth and development
- Enable the team to deliver high-quality results with passion, energy, and drive to meet business priorities
- Lead the development and execution of the annual and long-term marketing strategy for Trauma UK & Northern Europe
- Align marketing strategies with Global/European guidelines
- Achieve required growth, profit, and market share targets
- Translate marketing vision into action by guiding the team to break down and execute strategic plans
- Coach/guide team to employ appropriate segmentation, targeting, and positioning methods
- Partner with Country Leadership and Sales teams to define priorities
- Support commercial execution and strengthen customer engagement
- Drive market analysis, competitive insights, key differentiators, launches, and lifecycle management for the Trauma portfolio
- Establish/refine metrics to determine if marketing objectives have been effective in driving customer engagement
- Manage marketing budget and understand P&L
- Develop a deep understanding of the financial performance of the Trauma business in the region
- Set smart pricing strategies, including contract pricing, to support commercial success
- Develop key relationships with industry/market thought leaders, organizations, institutions, and key customers
- Generate strategic insights and deep understanding of customer needs
- Identify opportunities and influence cross-regionally and cross-divisionally to drive growth and deliver enhanced customer value
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 8+ years of work experience is required, of which a significant portion is in fields such as international Marketing, Product/Brand Management, Sales etc. within industries such as MedTech, BioTech, Pharmaceuticals, healthcare or related
- Experience in managing or coaching/mentoring teams is required (2+ years is preferred)
- Ability to accurately and effectively lead/manage (marketing) projects to ensure timely outcomes, business performance and growth
- Excellent interpersonal communications, persuasion and presentation skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Sophisticated collaborator and networker capable of leveraging these strengths and relationships effectively within a matrixed organization
- Demonstrated ability to relate to stakeholders and customers from different markets and cultures
- Strong strategic-thinking, adaptability, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies
- Impeccable work ethics & integrity in managing confidential information
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Valid driver’s license
- Flexible to travel in the region as this position involves sales support and customer interaction
- Travel: up to 50%
Nice to Have
- Orthopaedics/Trauma experience is not mandatory, but it would be an advantage
- MBA is preferred
