Scotiabank is hiring a Manager, Portfolio Optimization to join the Issuing & Payment Networks area within International Banking. In this role, you will support the Senior Manager in increasing the performance and profitability of the issuing portfolio (credit & debit) and contribute to the overall success of the Retail Payments Department.

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain payments-related dashboards and reports, consolidating data from multiple sources.
Conduct in-depth analysis of the credit card portfolio to identify optimization opportunities such as product mix adjustment, MCC penetration, and fee structures.
Monitor the impact of optimization initiatives on portfolio performance and adjust as needed to increase profitability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology, operations, finance, and risk to ensure seamless implementation of strategies.
Analyze the effectiveness of portfolio strategies and provide insights to senior management on areas for improvement.
Build and maintain robust financial models to forecast portfolio performance and assess strategy impact.
Integrate the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture considerations into day-to-day activities and decisions.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in portfolio analysis, financial modeling, and reporting within a banking or payments environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, consolidate, and interpret data from multiple sources.
Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams such as technology, operations, finance, and risk.
Ability to translate analysis into actionable insights and strategies to drive portfolio profitability.
Understanding of risk management principles and how they apply to portfolio optimization.
