MOD Pizza is hiring a Manager of Payroll to plan, administer, and manage all aspects of payroll for over 5,000 employees across more than 20 states. In this critical role, you will partner with HR, Finance, and Executives to adapt systems and processes, ensuring effective delivery of pay to our nationwide squad.
What You'll Do
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Oversee the daily workflow of your 4-person department.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Serve as a corporate resource to MOD stores for payroll-related matters.
- Understand operations as well as the functionality of the systems that provide payroll data.
- Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure the accuracy of payroll and employee benefit postings to the general ledger.
- Develop department goals, objectives, and processes.
- Oversee Time & Attendance system setup and time reporting, performing audits as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of payroll experience.
- 1+ year of management experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ADP Software and Vendor Management.
- Shared Tip Pool Reporting experience.

- Salary range: $88,034 - $103,601
