About the Role:
The Network Contracting Manager will lead a regional team dedicated to negotiating, executing, and analyzing contracts with extensive and intricate regional healthcare groups and hospital systems. This role focuses on maintaining and expanding the Oscar provider network while achieving accessibility, growth, and financial objectives. The Manager will handle escalated provider claims, dispute resolution, and settlement negotiations, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements. Leveraging negotiation expertise and comprehensive understanding of provider financial dynamics, this professional will optimize contracts, collaborate with healthcare entities, and support cost-saving initiatives and network expansion for a specific market region.
You will report to the Director of Network Contracting & Services.
Work Location: Remote position available for candidates residing in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, New York City, or Tennessee. Work involves a combination of home office and frequent local client meetings. Occasional travel may be required for team gatherings and company events. #LI-Remote
Pay Transparency: Base pay for New York City: $108,000 - $141,750 annually. Base pay for other locations: $97,200 - $127,575 annually. Additional benefits include employee perks, unlimited vacation, and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities:
- Implement contracting strategies aligned with network development objectives
- Negotiate and manage healthcare provider contracts
- Maintain strategic provider relationships
- Lead and mentor contracting specialists
- Conduct comprehensive contract analyses
- Utilize data-driven insights for negotiation strategies
- Implement contracting policies and workflows
- Monitor network performance metrics
- Resolve provider issues efficiently
- Build positive healthcare provider relationships
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Perform additional assigned duties
Requirements:
- 4+ years in healthcare network contracting
- 2+ years managing complex provider network strategies
- 2+ years people management experience
- 2+ years healthcare/health insurance industry experience
Bonus Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
