Crocs, Inc. is hiring a Sr. Manager, Microsoft Cloud & Platform Engineering to lead our technical direction and engineering practices. You will manage a team of eight engineers, establishing standards and developing secure, scalable, and automated solutions across our Microsoft-centric infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Develop and enforce Azure architecture and governance, including subscription strategy, landing zones, policy controls, RBAC, and cost allocation.
- Set operational standards for Azure logging, monitoring, backup/disaster recovery, and cloud security in collaboration with Security.
- Lead infrastructure delivery with automation, implementing standardized templates and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Set engineering standards for Windows Server across cloud and on-prem, covering build, hardening, patching, and automated lifecycle management.
- Enhance reliability through monitoring, capacity planning, and partnering with operations on runbooks and change practices.
- Direct strategy and lifecycle management for VMware and Azure Local environments, including on-prem storage.
- Oversee resiliency through backup, disaster recovery testing, vendor management, and platform cost optimization.
- Lead endpoint strategy for Windows and macOS, covering enrollment, compliance, app packaging, and patch management.
- Strengthen security posture with encryption, conditional access, and hardening using modern management via Autopilot, Intune, and Jamf.
- Enhance employee experience through reliable builds and automated software delivery.
- Own and govern Microsoft-centric identity architecture across Entra ID/Azure AD, including hybrid identity, SSO, MFA, and privileged access.
- Collaborate with Security to modernize authentication and define secure integration patterns for SaaS apps.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of 8 engineers, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Establish engineering excellence practices through documentation, reference architectures, and measurable outcomes.
- Align cross-functionally with Security, Architecture, Operations, and Application teams.
- Lead platform prioritization, roadmap planning, and develop business cases for investments.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or a related field.
- 8+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering.
- 3+ years leading teams.
- Deep experience in Azure architecture, governance, and cloud operating models.
- Strong Windows Server engineering background (hardening, patching, automation).
- Hybrid compute/virtualization experience (VMware and/or Azure Local/Azure Stack HCI) and on-prem storage concepts.
- Endpoint engineering across Windows and macOS using Intune and Jamf (or comparable platforms).
- Identity and access management experience with Microsoft identity technologies (Entra ID/Azure AD, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access).
- Proven ability to set standards, drive adoption, and influence across teams.
