Practicebetter is hiring a Manager, Leadership Giving. This role focuses on donors to the NPR Network, acting as a bridge between supporters and the network. You will be responsible for scaling personalized outreach to mid-level donors and managing a portfolio to sustain NPR and Member station journalism.
What You'll Do
- Scale personalization efforts by adapting standardized templates for donors giving $1K-$10K.
- Drive data-driven donor renewal and upgrades with timely touchpoints to minimize attrition and increase loyalty.
- Qualify new donors to the NPR Network with support of prospect research.
- Manage a portfolio of donors with capacity for gifts in the $10K-25K range.
- Articulate donor strategies and move prospects through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship phases.
- Navigate joint solicitation strategies with NPR and Member station teams.
- Support design and implementation of pilot fundraising initiatives for the NPR Network.
- Maintain meticulous records in Salesforce, capturing interactions timely.
- Communicate frequently with colleagues to foster a collaborative fundraising environment.
- Exemplify fundraising best practices and a high level of ethics.
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of frontline fundraising experience, ideally within a complex, federated, or multi-chapter nonprofit structure.
- Proven success in independently cultivating and closing general operating gifts in the $10,000 - $25,000 range.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to work with constituents including staff, board members, Member stations, partners, and donors.
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM for tracking and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to translate complex donor activity and data into insights that inform strategy.
- Cultivate and support an inclusive and equitable workplace culture.
