About the Role:
The International Accounting Manager will coordinate comprehensive accounting operations for our global subsidiary network. This strategic position manages daily financial activities across international entities and facilitates seamless expansion into emerging markets. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and expertise in multi-entity consolidations and international currency accounting. Working closely with the Director of Accounting, this role collaborates with multiple internal teams and external advisors to ensure precise, compliant financial reporting across global operations.
You Will:
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly accounting responsibilities for international subsidiaries
- Oversee month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and journal entry management
- Conduct thorough work product reviews, identifying and resolving potential errors
- Implement and validate foreign currency translation procedures
- Validate intercompany transaction eliminations
- Support statutory financial statement preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Develop and maintain accounting documentation and internal control frameworks
- Manage assigned Sarbanes-Oxley compliance protocols
- Provide mentorship and guidance to international accounting team members
- Participate in market expansion due diligence processes
- Champion process improvement and technological system enhancements
- Cultivate cross-functional relationships and ensure efficient communication
- Serve as primary international accounting liaison
You Have:
- 5–8+ years accounting experience, including 3+ years in multinational environments
- CPA certification required
- Accounting-focused bachelor's degree
- Comprehensive understanding of U.S. and international accounting standards
- Proven management experience across multiple currency environments
- Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency
- Superior analytical and communication capabilities
- Exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills
- Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced organizational landscapes
- Public company and SOX compliance background preferred
- Strong collaborative and adaptable teamwork approach
