CrowdStrike, Inc. is hiring a Manager, Infrastructure and Operations - Identity Protection to take our Infrastructure and Production Operations to the next level. This remote role involves managing a team of high-performance engineers focused on building infrastructure platforms and driving cost optimization.
What You'll Do
- Manage a growing team of high performance engineers focused on building high quality infrastructure platforms.
- Participate in architecting large scale Infrastructure platforms for service teams at CrowdStrike.
- Provide strategic leadership for a team of Infra/DevOps engineers, focusing on hands-off management that empowers team autonomy while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across infrastructure, identifying opportunities for efficiency while maintaining high performance and resiliency standards.
- Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and cost forecasting for infrastructure engineering projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to align infrastructure strategy with business objectives.
- Develop and implement KPIs and metrics to measure team performance, infrastructure efficiency, and cost optimization success.
- Mentor and grow engineering talent, focusing on career development and building a high-performing, innovative team culture.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure engineering or DevOps roles.
- At least 3+ years in management positions.
- Strong understanding of public cloud infrastructure, production operations and cost optimization strategies.
- Experience managing budgets and optimizing costs in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI).
- Experience in public clouds (AWS, GCP and OCI) and private cloud Infrastructure services.
- Experience in software development, preferably with building Infrastructure components (IaC, Python, Chef, Ansible).
- Experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams with a hands-off management approach.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree preferred.
- Proven ability to work effectively with remote teams in USA and Europe.
- Rock solid communication skills, verbal and written.
- A combination of confidence and independence, with the prudence to know when to ask for help from the rest of the team.
- Experience with being on-call responsibilities.
- Knowledge of SRE, Devops and Gitops practices.
