About the Role

Washington University in St. Louis is hiring a Manager, Division Clinical Research - Neurosurgery. You will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of clinical research studies, including extensive interaction with the IRB, sponsors, and investigators. This role manages the Division of Clinical Research and its day-to-day functions.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the Division of Clinical Research and its day-to-day functions.
  • Recruit, hire, manage, and review clinical research staff, including salary sourcing decisions with investigator participation.
  • Make recommendations and participate in developing and implementing decisions and policies for the clinical research division.
  • Oversee federal and sponsor funding; monitor the financial performance of the division against its operating budget.
  • Monitor compliance with the IRB, federal mandates, and grant requirements; identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions.
  • Assist with compliance monitoring and audits.
  • Aid in the strategic planning for the Division of Clinical Research.
  • Be responsible for research education and training of staff, including developing research manuals and training programs to maintain compliance.
  • Act as a liaison for clinical research activities between the department, the School of Medicine, and external agencies.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (must be obtained within one month of hire; online-only certifications are not sufficient).
  • 4 years of managerial work experience.
  • Skills in Clinical Research.

  • Compensation: $75,200.00 - $128,800.00 annually.
  • Up to 22 days of vacation, 10 recognized holidays, and sick time.
