As Manager, Corporate Development, you will proactively engage with founders and chief executives of software companies across the world to identify potential acquisition targets. Your primary focus will be cultivating trusted relationships that support long-term deal sourcing and strategic alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage outreach to software company leaders, introducing the organization’s acquisition strategy
- Nurture ongoing relationships with key decision-makers to build a sustainable pipeline
- Develop market intelligence and track opportunities within assigned industry sectors
- Meet or exceed monthly targets for qualified contacts and signed non-disclosure agreements
- Independently assess and qualify inbound and outbound opportunities for strategic fit
- Ensure leads are accurately categorized and aligned with internal team focus areas
- Support business unit acquisition teams by refining top-of-funnel prospects
- Contribute to capital deployment goals, aiming to source deals totaling $8–10 million annually by year two
Qualifications
You bring 2–4 years of experience in business development, sales, or M&A within the software sector. You communicate with clarity and confidence, capable of engaging senior executives, advisors, and legal professionals. Organized, self-driven, and comfortable working independently, you act with initiative and precision. Flexibility to work across time zones is essential. A proven record of high performance in autonomous roles is strongly preferred, along with a genuine interest in building a career in software investments. Success in other demanding pursuits outside work may also be considered.
