Wärtsilä is looking for a proactive and highly organized Manager Backoffice to ensure smooth, efficient, and well‑structured office operations in our Hamburg location. You will create an environment where employees can work productively while representing the office as a reliable point of coordination and support.
What You'll Do
- Ensure daily back‑office and office operations run efficiently and support a productive working environment.
- Coordinate office services including space planning, facilities support, maintenance, office systems, and supplies.
- Develop, document, and implement office procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Plan and support internal meetings and events, ensuring flawless logistical execution.
- Act as the main point of contact for employees, visitors, and external vendors regarding office‑related matters.
- Facilitate smooth communication within the office and across departments to ensure seamless operational workflows.
- Foster a positive working environment.
What We're Looking For
- Degree or vocational training in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in office management, back‑office operations, or facilities coordination, ideally within an international work environment.
- Professional proficiency in German and English (spoken and written).
- Solid command of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, SharePoint).
- Strong organizational and communication skills, a service‑oriented mindset, and the ability to solve issues independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Leadership experience is considered an advantage.
