Babcock International is looking for a Management Accountant to join the team at our Rosyth shipyard. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our major marine and shipbuilding operations, directly influencing decisions that impact national defence and engineering excellence. Your work will strengthen financial governance, enhance cost efficiency, and guide strategic choices.
What You'll Do
- Provide proactive financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting and scenario modelling.
- Produce insightful management reports to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
- Partner with cost centre owners to understand financial performance, cost drivers and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with inventory management processes, strengthening governance and controls.
- Support business cases, investment decisions and commercial models to ensure value‑for‑money and strategic alignment.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified accountant or exam‑complete finalist (ACA / ACCA / ACMA) with relevant experience.
- Experience supporting operational, engineering or industrial environments.
- Strong analytical capability and a proactive, business‑focused mindset.
- Ability to communicate clearly and influence decision‑makers.
- Confidence to challenge constructively and provide balanced commercial insight.
- Experience collaborating with multi‑disciplinary stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience within marine, manufacturing, engineering or large operational environments.
- Exposure to inventory management or project‑based finance.
