About the Role

Dexterra Group is hiring a Maintenance Superintendent to oversee maintenance programs across multiple remote workforce accommodations and camp facilities in Nunavut, Manitoba, and Ontario. This role ensures all camp infrastructure, systems, and equipment are maintained to operational and regulatory standards through consistent application of the company’s IMTR plan.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities for multiple remote camp sites, ensuring full compliance with the company’s IMTR plan.
  • Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements.
  • Provide technical support and leadership to site-based maintenance teams; ensure safe work practices and effective troubleshooting.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train on-site maintenance personnel to ensure consistent performance and adherence to standards.
  • Participate in the development and reconciliation of the maintenance labour and materials operating budget.
  • Monitor asset condition and identify potential risks or deficiencies before they impact operations.
  • Coordinate and oversee trades and subcontractor activities, ensuring timely reporting and performance tracking.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable federal and provincial regulations and safety codes for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building, fire, and OH&S systems.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for all maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair activities.
  • Contribute to updates and improvements to the IMTR program across the region.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with partners, clients, vendors, and sub-contractors.
  • Support capital planning and lifecycle replacement of infrastructure and equipment.
  • Be a safety leader and promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability across all maintenance operations.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership or superintendent-level role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and recordkeeping.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and reporting skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work on rotational schedules in remote Northern environments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience preferably in remote or industrial camp environments.
  • A valid trade certification (Electrical, Millwright, Plumbing, HVAC) considered an asset.

You will provide leadership to site-based maintenance teams across multiple remote locations.

Work Mode

This is an onsite position requiring travel and work at remote camp locations in Manitoba, Ontario, and Nunavut.
