U-Haul International, Inc. is hiring a Mainframe Developer Trainee for an entry-level role on our Mainframe Development team. This is a training position designed for a hard-working and enthusiastic candidate willing to learn; no previous software developer experience is required. We will provide the training to help you build a foundational career in technology.

What You'll Do

Attend structured training sessions and complete training assignments.
Work effectively both individually and in a team setting.
Learn to enhance existing code, develop new code, and resolve issues (bugs) on the mainframe platform.
Acquire proficiency with mainframe tools such as JCL, Control-M, and Control-D.
Advocate for U-Haul's business teams by learning processes, terminology, and key contacts.
Periodically update Azure DevOps work items to facilitate project throughput and management.

What We're Looking For

Ability to pass a Critical Thinking Test with an acceptable score.
Willingness to work after hours and weekends occasionally (after the initial 4-month trainee period).
Willingness to work remotely, although exceptions are possible.
