Responsibilities
- Perform all job functions safely and without accidents.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets work orders and quality standards, adjusting machinery as needed.
- Use basic hand tools to make machine adjustments.
- Install machine change parts to accommodate new product specifications.
- Load paper rolls into machine back stands and safely thread paper through embossers, slitting rolls, folding rolls, and re-winder areas.
- Fill glue reservoirs.
- Disassemble machines to maintain, repair, or replace broken or worn parts using hand or power tools.
- Provide necessary training to team members within your knowledge and capabilities.
- Direct production support as needed and ensure adherence to safe work practices.
- Demonstrate leadership skills on a regular and consistent basis.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, following lean initiatives.
- Serve as a backup to the Machine Operator and fill in for Machine Assistant Operators and Production Support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Possess basic computer skills
Nice to Have
- 1-2 years of experience with manufacturing equipment preferred

- Frequently required to use arms, legs, and hands in a range of motions.
- Frequently required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 12 pounds with or without assistance.
- Work is typically performed in a manufacturing environment around equipment designed to convert paper.
- Temperatures in the plant can vary greatly from season to season.
- The incumbent will be exposed to considerable paper dust.
- Incumbents will also be exposed to noise levels that may require hearing protection.
- Safety shoes and eye protection are required in manufacturing and warehouse areas.
