Micron is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, implement, and iterate on machine learning models to address specific business challenges and enhance product functionality. You will build and maintain the data pipelines that support the training and deployment of these models in our cloud environment.
What You'll Do
- Analyze existing Micron data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights for model development.
- Design, implement, and iterate on machine learning models to solve business problems.
- Build and maintain robust and scalable data/solution pipelines to support ML training and deployment.
- Collaborate on data preprocessing and feature engineering to enhance input data quality.
- Design and optimize data structures in cloud data management systems (Snowflake, GCP, Azure) to enable AI/ML solutions.
- Build custom software components and analytics applications.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning solutions in the cloud.
- Implement strategies for deploying machine learning models into production.
- Select the best model to meet performance requirements while minimizing compute costs.
- Establish and maintain monitoring systems to track deployed model performance.
- Work within a technical team through development, deployment, and application of analytics using machine learning and AI.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly.
What We're Looking For
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in an Engineering-related occupation.
- Experience building and executing end-to-end ML systems automating training, testing, and deployment in cloud platforms.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with prediction/classification algorithms and familiarity with deep learning, reinforcement learning, and generative AI.
- Experience with Python or Java.
- Experience building event-driven pipelines using messaging systems like Pub/Sub, Solace, or Kafka.
- Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines using Kubeflow, Dataflow, and/or Airflow.
- Experience with data architecture, data structures, schemas, and strong SQL skills.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
