About the Role
This role focuses on extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex financial data to guide business decisions and improve financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Extract and validate financial datasets from multiple internal systems
- Produce accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports
- Identify trends and anomalies in revenue, expenses, and cash flow
- Collaborate with finance team members to improve data accuracy
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards for leadership review
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities with data insights
- Automate repetitive reporting tasks using scripting or query tools
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and policies
- Perform ad hoc analysis for executive and operational requests
- Document data sources, transformations, and calculation logic
- Improve data quality through validation and cleansing procedures
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial metrics
- Track key performance indicators related to financial health
- Assist in audit preparation by providing organized data sets
- Translate business questions into structured data queries
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial systems and tools
- Evaluate the impact of pricing and subscription changes on revenue
- Monitor financial close timelines and support process improvements
- Contribute to the design of scalable reporting infrastructure
- Use data to assess operational efficiency and cost effectiveness
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree in a relevant analytical or business discipline
- Certification such as CPA, CFA, or CMA
- Experience with Looker or similar BI platforms
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
- Knowledge of statistical analysis methods
