GitLab is hiring an M365 Change Management Consultant to lead user adoption and business transformation for Microsoft 365 and related technologies. In this project-based role, you’ll focus on the people and process aspects of technology change, directly impacting collaboration and productivity for our clients.
What You'll Do
- Assess a client’s current state and understand the baseline of change needs.
- Complete change management assessments, identify key stakeholders, and work with sponsors to define project goals and success criteria.
- Partner with clients, project managers, and technologists to create and implement change recommendations based on best practices.
- Design and deliver change management solutions for communications, employee development, training, and governance.
- Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities within the defined project scope.
- Design and facilitate Change Management Workshops to help organizations understand successful configuration and rollout of Microsoft tools.
- Provide insight into new opportunities with the client based on engagement knowledge.
- Lead Organizational Change Management (OCM) aspects of a project, including mapping milestones and tasks, advising on project change, and leading the OCM workstream.
- Work with internal management to ensure project health regarding OCM efforts.
- Support change management at the organizational level.
- Communicate openly, listen and engage with respect, build healthy relationships, and work with integrity.
What We're Looking For
- At least 4 years consulting experience in management consulting or customer success consulting.
- Experience with M365/O365 implementation change management, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and more.
- Consulting change management experience required.
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent active listening skills and ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to establish, maintain, and influence strong relationships toward a common vision.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations with a resilient view to problem-solving.
- Ability to strategically and tactically solution client needs and organize self and potentially small OCM teams.
- Strong problem solving and root cause identification skills.
- Ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
- Ability to design and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and User Adoption Plans.
- Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
- Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
- Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of ADKAR methodology; PROSCI certification strongly preferred.
- Previous change management experience with Microsoft CoPilot.
- PROSCI certified.
