Logistics Support Specialist - Free Trade Zone
Role Overview
This position supports logistics and supply chain functions within a designated Free Trade Zone. The specialist ensures accurate handling of inventory, timely movement of goods, and adherence to international trade regulations. Daily responsibilities span warehouse operations, shipping coordination, and documentation management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support receiving and shipping operations, including unloading freight and confirming incoming materials
- Pick, pack, and prepare items for domestic and global delivery, ensuring correct labeling and staging
- Organize stock by sorting and storing materials on racks, shelves, or bins to optimize space and accessibility
- Perform regular inventory checks and physical counts, identifying and reporting discrepancies
- Uphold cleanliness, safety, and order in the warehouse environment
- Work with team leads and colleagues to align on task priorities and workflow demands
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational guidelines
- Prepare and verify import and export documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin
- Coordinate with freight carriers, customs agents, and transport providers to ensure on-time, compliant shipments
- Support compliance with U.S. Customs (CBP), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), ITAR, and other international trade rules
- Monitor shipment progress and share updates with internal teams and external partners
- Maintain detailed records for audits and regulatory reporting
- Assist in resolving customs delays, document errors, or logistical issues
- Process inventory and supply chain transactions using SAP, Oracle, and other ERP platforms
- Handle purchase requests, payment documentation, and materials tracking
- Use Microsoft Office tools to create reports, analyze data, and communicate updates
- Track inventory movements and report stock shortages or variances
Technical Environment
The role utilizes SAP, Oracle, and various ERP systems for transaction processing, along with Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication.
Work Location
This is an onsite position requiring daily presence at the Free Trade Zone facility.
