Halliburton is hiring a Logistics and Transportation Specialist to coordinate national and international goods movements under direct supervision. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international regulations while keeping customers informed and using logistics systems to analyze data and improve services.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate national and international goods movements in compliance with all applicable legislation.
- Handle pre-shipment instructions and collaborate with service providers.
- Coordinate cargo shipping orders from origin to destination to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
- Interact with customers to keep them informed of shipment progress.
- Maintain all files according to shipping requirements.
- Collect and analyze data on service provider value and short-term company needs to plan shipments.
- Use logistics systems to ensure movement transactions are correct and timely.
- Record data measurements to track trends and identify alternatives to improve logistics services.
- Pack, mark, label, and measure cargo to provide accurate weight and dimensions.
- Assist the finance and accounting department in validating rates and charges on invoices.
What We're Looking For
- A two-year college degree or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Minimum two years of proven experience in domestic logistics.
- Experience in one or two modes of transport (maritime, air, or land).
- Knowledge of dangerous goods movements.
- Experience in ground transportation of general, special, and/or critical cargo.
- Experience coordinating inbound and outbound movements.
- Experience managing carriers and logistics operators.
- Experience with logistics to wells, operational bases, and remote locations.
- Experience transporting sensitive, heavy, or regulated materials.
