lastminute.com is hiring a Litigation & Legal Product Associate to join our Business Legal department. In this role, you will support both the Litigation department and the Legal Product team, ensuring effective case management and providing crucial legal guidance on our travel products and initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Support the Litigation department, coordinating paralegals and case management activities across different markets, with a particular focus on the UK market.
- Coordinate and liaise with external counsel to ensure effective case handling, consistency, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Legal Product team in reviewing and advising on the main legal aspects of the company’s travel products and related commercial initiatives.
- Support the implementation of internal processes involving Competition Law, Consumer Law, and Tourism Law analysis.
- Prepare and deliver guidance documents, templates, and training materials for internal teams under the supervision of the Group Legal & Litigation Counsel.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of scalable legal processes that support sustainable business growth.
- Draft and review a wide range of international contracts, including distribution, sales, agency, service, lease, sponsorship, and confidentiality agreements.
- Provide legal advice on the regulatory and contractual framework applicable to the offering and sale of online travel products.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Law.
- Perfect knowledge of English language (mandatory).
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational and project management, consistently meeting deadlines and effectively prioritising tasks.
- Proficient drafting skills.
- Confidence in providing support to both legal teams and business units.
- Capability to showcase commercial awareness and a deep understanding of business requirements.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite (Google Sheets, Google Docs), maintaining a consistently high standard of knowledge and application.
- Ability to work in a precise, pragmatic, and hands-on manner; demonstrating problem-solving attitude.
- 2–3 years of prior experience.
Nice to Have
- Admission to the National Bar Association is a plus.
- Full proficiency of at least one of the following languages: Italian, German, French, or Spanish is a plus.
