About the Role

The Linux Foundation is hiring a Marketing Communications Associate to join the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) marketing team. This role implements and helps shape how CNCF communicates with its global ecosystem across social, web, events, and email. It's a growth opportunity for someone with a foundation in digital marketing and a passion for open source, community building, and emerging technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the CNCF social calendar across platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, BlueSky, etc.), aligning with projects, content, campaigns, and events.
  • Create engaging social content and schedule posts, maintaining CNCF’s brand voice and promoting project and community milestones.
  • Support third-party and CNCF-related event tactics and promotional support before, during, and after each event.
  • Publish content and updates to the CNCF website, including blogs, announcements, case studies, and minor web edits.
  • Build and schedule email campaigns using HubSpot, and manage the CNCF email calendar to ensure timely, relevant communications.
  • Assist in campaign strategy and execution, including asset coordination, landing page setup, and cross-channel amplification.
  • Program performance and impact reporting.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-3 years minimum of experience in digital marketing and social media.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail and tone.
  • Strong experience with, or Certification in HubSpot.
  • Comfortable using CMS tools for basic web publishing (e.g., WordPress).
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative spirit with a curiosity for cloud native technologies and community culture.
  • Some travel, including international.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a tech or open source organization.
  • Experience supporting virtual or in-person events.
  • Basic design or image editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
