Role Overview
This position supports the reliable operation of virtual machines and applications hosted in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment. You will play a key role in system deployment, ongoing maintenance, and issue resolution to ensure high performance and a strong user experience. Innovation through AI integration and system optimization is a core focus of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain virtual machines and applications within a secure cloud environment
- Install and configure new PaaS platform instances
- Perform regular system updates and maintenance cycles, including monthly patching
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to applications or virtual machine performance
Qualifications
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of two years of relevant technical experience is required, or a Master’s degree in a related discipline. A current Department of Defense Top Secret (TS) security clearance is required at the time of hire. U.S. citizenship is mandatory, and candidates must qualify for access to classified information.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on work with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Experience managing virtual machines in enterprise environments
- Familiarity with containerized services and orchestration platforms
- Background in tiered technical support or helpdesk operations
Technical Environment
The role operates within a technology stack centered on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, virtual machine management tools, and containerized service deployment.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position requiring majority on-site presence with limited telework flexibility. Fully remote work is not supported. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, offering every other Friday off.
