nDreams is looking for a Lighting Artist to join Studio Elevation. You will work closely with the art team to create and refine lighting and shading elements within the game, enhancing visual atmosphere across scenes and environments.
What You'll Do
- Light levels in an optimised way that works across multiple platforms, including Quest VR.
- Ensure clear golden path lighting that guides the player through their objectives and highlights points of interest.
- Work closely with the Art Director and Leads to develop and follow the artistic vision.
- Collaborate with other departments to help create memorable and captivating visuals.
- Create and maintain lighting documentation.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in industry-standard lighting tools and software (e.g., Unreal Engine).
- Experience with Baked Lighting Pipelines.
- Knowledgeable on PBR Workflow.
- A working knowledge of materials and environment art connected to lighting (lightmaps, HDRI setup, material lighting modes, light functions, etc).
- Optimization of lighting performance to maintain baking times and frame rates across platforms.
Nice to Have
- Adobe Photoshop and/or Substance Designer knowledge for texture editing.
- Lighting Technical Art knowledge.
