About the Role
This position involves guiding borrowers through the mortgage loan process from application to closing while maintaining regulatory compliance and delivering clear, accurate information. The individual will work remotely and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely processing and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Originate mortgage loans in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Guide borrowers through each stage of the loan application process
- Collect and verify financial documentation from applicants
- Assess borrower eligibility based on lending criteria
- Communicate loan terms, rates, and product options clearly
- Maintain accurate records in loan origination systems
- Respond promptly to borrower inquiries via phone and email
- Coordinate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams
- Ensure disclosures are delivered on time and properly executed
- Stay current with changes in mortgage regulations and policies
- Meet or exceed production and service benchmarks
- Build relationships with real estate agents and referral partners
- Conduct loan consultations via virtual meetings
- Explain complex mortgage concepts in simple terms
- Identify borrower needs and recommend suitable loan products
- Submit complete loan packages for underwriting review
- Monitor loan pipeline and follow up on pending items
- Resolve borrower concerns quickly and professionally
- Maintain NMLS registration in good standing
- Adhere to ethical lending standards and company policies
