Elsevier is looking for a Legal Research Intern to join our Global Customer Operations team. In this remote role, you will provide direct customer support via Live Support chat, conducting legal research and resolving inquiries to deliver an effortless user experience.
What You'll Do
- Conduct legal research and provide solutions to customers via Live Support chat.
- Maintain confidentiality and the sensitivity of information from customer conversations.
- Manage multiple conversations simultaneously while maintaining a high level of responsiveness.
- Understand customer pain points and provide an effortless customer experience.
- Use scripted messages appropriately and timely.
- Create meaningful connections with customers and offer additional products or services when applicable.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled student pursuing a Juris Doctorate program (1L, 2L, or 3L).
- Excellent typing skills with a minimum of 40 wpm and 85% accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a rapidly moving setting.
- Empathetic and understanding of customer needs.
- Excellent business acumen and ability to offer value-added services to customers.
- Detail-oriented with close attention to accuracy and quality of work.
- Self-driven and open to receiving and applying constructive feedback.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to document findings and share ideas clearly.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $18/hour.
- This position is not eligible for benefits.
Work Mode
This is a fully remote position open to candidates in various locations in the Eastern and Central Time Zones.
